This sports club, founded in 1918, does not permit women to be members. Rather, they can be “adherent members”, which means they are excluded from decision-making processes, can not practice sports there, and are only permitted in the restaurant and library of the headquarters. If their husband or father dies, they are only granted access if given special permission by the committee, and if divorced, they’re definitively banned. This is certainly not the only boys club… in a country with a female head of state.
